SDGs

As a commercial and sourcing enterprise, it is important that we consider the impact of our operations on the environment and society. One way we can do this is by aligning our goals with the United Nations‘ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

  • Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth – We can prioritize fair labor practices, promote gender equality and provide training and development opportunities for our employees.
  • Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production – We can strive to reduce waste, increase resource efficiency and promote sustainable procurement practices within our operations.
  • Goal 13: Climate Action – We can adopt measures to mitigate our carbon footprint and promote energy efficiency, such as using renewable energy sources and reducing our consumption of fossil fuels.
  • Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions – We can commit to conducting our business in an ethical and transparent manner, promoting integrity, and combating corruption.

By setting these SDGs, we can not only improve our own operations but also contribute to the larger global effort towards sustainability and responsible business practices.

UN Global Compact Since 2005

Since July 5, 2005, we have officially become participants in the UN Global Compact. The UN Global Compact, a highly influential initiative, aims to encourage enterprises to fulfill their responsibilities in areas such as human rights, labor standards, the environment, and anti – corruption. We actively engage in this initiative, contributing to sustainable development.

Our CEO sent a letter to the Secretary – General of the United Nations, expressing support for the ten principles of the UN Global Compact in the aspects of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti – corruption. We committed to integrating these principles into the company’s strategy, culture, and daily operations. Additionally, we will participate in collaborative projects to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and make this commitment public to stakeholders and the general public.

The company is aware that participating in the UN Global Compact requires the annual submission of a Communication on Progress (CoP). We promise to submit the reports in accordance with the regulations starting from the date of joining. This includes the CEO signing a statement of support and completing an online questionnaire.
